Opening a card uses one unlock — whether you clicked it from a deck or met it in a spaced repetition session. Cards you've already unlocked are free to revisit as often as you like, forever.

Before you've used a single unlock or after you've used them all. A subscription opens everything; cancelling leaves you with the cards you unlocked on the free plan.
